Doctor of Occupational Therapy Open House

Welcome to Western New England University Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD)!  Please join us to learn more about our Occupational Therapy Doctorate Program.  The Open House will cover general information on our OTD curriculum, field work and admissions. 

The Open House will take place at the Blake Law Center, (building 12 on the campus map) on the second floor.  Directions to campus and a downloadable campus map can be found here. 

During Open House:

• Explore the OTD labs and talk with current OTD students
• Meet several faculty members and learn more about the program.
• Discussion of the admissions process and prerequisites for the program

Quick Program Facts

• First Occupational Therapy Program in Western Massachusetts to offer an entry-level doctoral degree
• The 109 credits, OTD Curriculum is delivered in a 3-year program completed over 9 consecutive semesters
• The doctoral experiential residency provides students with advanced skills beyond generalist practice in areas of leadership, research, advocacy and program development/implementation/evaluation.
• The program provides opportunities for classroom learning, the development of performance laboratory skills, and on-site practice experience
• We are committed to maintaining a low student to faculty ratio (currently 11:1) so that students experience tailored mentoring throughout the program.
